My name is Christy and I'm too awkward for words, but I try nonetheless.

In the third grade, a beloved teacher once told me my storytelling and writing skills were above par and I should consider becoming a writer someday.

I'm a first-generation college graduate from a tiny town in southeastern Kentucky. I do not subscribe to stereotypes but in my life, I've often felt like the croutons in a white trash salad.
I can tell you everything you want to know about bourbon and 80s movies. I would make Martha Stewart cry tears of joy with my gift-wrapping skills.

I met my beloved husband on my very first day of college when he held the door open for me. He's quite romantic.
We have been married for 13 fantastic years. Yes, that is one of our actual photos.
He missed out getting a trophy wife, but luckily, they were still handing out participation trophies. I missed out on getting a sugar daddy, but I love my Stevia daddy more than words.
